Election Resources 2008

"Over the course of this year, many groups of people of faith....have prepared materials for us
to consider prior to the elections. All of the materials are based on Catholic Social Teaching.
All embrace the gospel commandment of love of God and love of neighbor. None tell us how to vote
but rather invite us to pray about the issues, to reflect upon our response as people of faith, and
to dialogue with each other with reverence and respect, seeking the good of all."
(excerpt from Justice & Peace Newsletter October 2008.)

The Sisters of IHM invites everyone to read and reflect on the following resources in order to
make the most responsible decision on Election Day. We invite you to learn about both candidates
visions and points of view, to ask questions, and to reflect on your own values and those of the
candidates during the next few weeks. For additional discussion points please read the
Justice and Peace Newsletter October 2008
.
