Day in the Life of an IHM Candidate
The IHM Congregation welcomed Carrie Flood and Rachel Terry as
IHM Candidates during a Rite of Entrance ceremony in the IHM Center
Chapel on Thursday, September 2, at 7:00 p.m.
Carrie Flood, born in Flagstaff, Arizona, to Gerald and Rita
Flood, is the youngest of seven children. Carrie lived in California
until she moved to Mesa, Arizona, where she was employed with
PacifiCare, a health insurance company, as the manager of provider
network operations. Carrie attended The University of California
at Berkeley and received a bachelor of arts degree in French with
a minor in German.
Carrie has joined the Shalom House Community in Scranton and
will serve in part-time ministry at Marian Community Hospital
in Carbondale.
Rachel Terry is the daughter of Kathleen and David Terry of Millville,
New Jersey. Rachel is the oldest of four children. She attended
Marywood University and obtained a bachelor of music degree in
music education. After graduation she accepted a position as a
teacher of music at the Christopher Columbus Charter School in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Rachel has joined the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Community
in Scranton and will serve in part-time ministry at Holy Rosary
School in Scranton.
