During a ceremony held on July 27, 2006, at the IHM Center, Srs. Denise Lyon and Helene Cooke were welcomed into the incorporation process of the Scranton IHM Congregation. Both Sisters came to Scranton from the Immaculata IHM Congregation. At the same ceremony Sr. Denise Montagne was received into the IHM Novitiate.

During the ceremony of reception into the novitiate the IHM Congregation president, Sr. Mary Persico, asked Denise Montagne, "What do you desire and what do you ask of us?"

Denise responded, " I desire to follow Jesus in this community of disciples, as a sister servant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, of Scranton, Pennsylvania. I have been blessed by God’s infinite love and drawn by this love I humbly ask to continue sharing this blessing with you as a novice. Help me learn what it is to be a prophetic witness to the presence of God in the world as a joyful and loving servant to God’s people, and to be faithful to our charism. Teach me to persevere in prayer, to live in poverty, chastity and obedience as prophetic signs of hope in our world.
