Solemnity of Easter Wednesday
April 14, 2004

Scripture:
Acts 3:1-10; Luke 24:13-35

Reflection:
If Jesus appeared to you today, would you recognize Him?

Those who are faith-filled see Jesus in the Eucharist as well as in other sacramental celebrations in their lives. Do we, however, see and recognize Jesus - in the face of a beautiful child?

- in the face of an elderly disgruntled patient in a nursing home?
- in a breathtaking sunset?
- in a powerful storm?
- in celebrations?
- at a funeral of a loved one?
- in a ministry where we are affirmed, supported and admired?
- in a ministry where we are not appreciated?
- in a loving relationship with a friend?
- in a relationship that has disintegrated?
- in the best of times?
- in the worst of times?

The road we walk each day is the road to Emmaus.

Suggested action:
Take time to see where Jesus can be found in each moment today.
