Scripture: Acts 5:17-26; John 3:16-21
Reflection:
“God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten
Son, that whoever believes in him will not perish…he who
lives the truth comes to the light.” - John 3:16, 21
What a powerful statement about the incredible love of God!
Our God is motivated by love so great that he gifted the world
with his own son. This son came to save the whole of creation
and not to condemn it.
What a generous Father! He resembles Abraham who was so grief-stricken
at the prospect of his son’s death. Yet, he gave his beloved
son for a higher purpose. Am I able to fathom the love God has
for me?
The word “believe” is mentioned four times in this
short passage of John. I am called to believe and act “in
truth” so that it may be plainly seen that what I do is
done in God. If I do the works that are of God, I will live
in the light of his presence.
Suggested Action:
Take some time today to ponder whether your life manifests the
“light” which Christ’s presence radiates.
If it does not, how can it?
