Tuesday
of Holy Week
April 6, 2004
Scripture: Isaiah 49:1-6; John 13:21-33, 36-38
Reflection:
Who can ever understand the mysterious ways in which God uses
each one of us? In Isaiah, Yahweh calls on his people to be
his servants just as God calls on each one of us today to do
the same. We are each servants and our mission, as John reminds
us, is to be a selfless lover in the name of God. Each one of
us is called to play an exceptional role, chosen specifically
for us. Let us pray that as we journey through Holy Week we
might experience the ever present love of God through each other.
Suggested Action:
Be particularly mindful of the many people in your life who
have loved you. These individuals are God’s reminder to
you that God is forever present in your life. In gratitude for
the ways in which you have been loved and served, tell someone
how much you appreciate their goodness.
