Saturday
of the Second Week of Easter
April 9, 2005
Scripture:
Acts 6:1-7; John 6:16-21
Reflection:
Each day presents a different challenge for accepting God’s
will. We need the assistance of one another in carrying on the
work and word entrusted to us by the Lord, so that petty incidents
will not interfere. Concentrate on prayer as well as the ministry
of the word. Today presents an opportunity to challenge yourself
to meet God in each person you encounter. Perform good works
today, lest you find the evening of life drawing ever closer
and you become frightened by the enveloping darkness. Listen
to Jesus as he reassures you that he is near.
Suggested Action:
Meet God in the deep recesses of your being; adore, love and
listen to the Divine Presence and hear God reassure you again:
“It is I, do not be afraid.”
