Scripture: Acts 19:1-8; John 16:29-33
Reflection:
What comfort these readings reveal to me! No one is exempt from
trouble, be it physical, emotional or spiritual. But know that
the Holy Spirit of the Living God brings peace. One may be dead
in sin, yet the Holy Spirit which lies smoldering in our souls
can be ignited into a flame of fire, just as the dead seed comes
alive once more when spring arrives and the warm earth brings
a burst of new life. Scripture tells us that the Spirit of God
is always with us, just waiting for the door of our hearts to
open and to acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Savior, who comes
with a balm of healing. When we invite the Spirit to act in our
lives peace fills our being in a way that is beyond our understanding
and human actions.
Suggested Action:
Make an amendment to become reconciled with one who may have hurt
you deeply. The Spirit of God will bring peace more than any else
can.
