Tri-IHM Sesquicentennial Assembly, Monroe, Michigan
Sesquicentennial Mission Statement

We, the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Monroe, Michigan, Immaculata and Scranton, Pennsylvania, remember, praise and thank God for the graces of the past 150 years of our common heritage.

We commemorate this year of Jubilee in a grateful, loving, prayerful spirit with all who have been, are and will be a part of our lives as we create our future.
We re-dedicate ourselves to a shared, simple life, grounded in contemplative reflection and creative compassionate action on behalf of justice and peace.

We re-commit ourselves to the transformation of a global society --in the spirit of Louis Florent Gillet, CssR, Theresa Maxis Duchemin, IHM, our early Sisters, and all those IHM Women who have gone before us.

United in Community by the love of Jesus Christ we urge one another to be conscious of the poverty, hunger, violence and injustices suffered by the majority of the human family. With Mary of the Magnificat we stand with the poor.

We celebrate this year of Jubilee; --a moment of renewed courage, of risk acknowledged and accepted, of hope unchecked, of faith unfolding in our lives, in our history, and in our God.
