| Along with thousands of persons throughout the world, IHM sisters have been actively raising their voices in pleas for peaceful solutions to the problems facing the international community. IHM sisters have been leading prayer services for peace in schools, parishes and work places. They have been educating others through their ministries about just war and the need to be persons of peace on all levels of life. Some sisters also are joining with other organizations and religious groups who have given public witness to their belief that war on Iraq should not be waged. (See photos below.) Several IHM sisters participated with an estimated half a million people in the march in Washington, DC against the war on Iraq.
