Our
location is surrounded by the beauty of nature and
provides an ideal setting for a group that is
interested in learning, reflecting or accomplishing
the business it has at hand.
The
Theresa Maxis Conference Center is located in the
IHM Center, a multi-purpose facility of the
Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the
Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM). The IHM
Congregation is a community of Catholic women
religious who have been serving the needs of people
throughout the country and abroad since 1845, and
particularly in northeast Pennsylvania since 1858.
The IHM Center is located on beautiful, spacious
grounds that are adjacent to the Marywood
University campus.
What Can We Provide?
The newly renovated Theresa Maxis Conference
Center has a range of services that can help
facilitate your meeting, workshop, conference or
retreat day.
Space
Conference Center-offers flexible
arrangement for seating for 300 people
Chapel-newly renovated and offers seating
for 350 people and some flexiblity with seating for
smaller groups.
Audio-Visual

and Beverage Services
A range of options is available for breaks and
meals.

A number of hotels are available in the area

Center
The
mission of the Theresa Maxis Conference Center is
to provide a space for education, reflection and
dialogue. We offer our resources for use by
organizations whose purpose is compatible with the
mission and may extend the values of the Sisters,
Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary who own
and operate the center.
The
Theresa Maxis Conference Center, named for the
founder for the IHM Congregation, is administered
in the spirit of hospitality of the IHM Sisters
whose mission is to proclaim the Good News of God's
unconditional love for all people. In accord with
that mission, we welcome all who come to the center
and serve them as honored guests.
